I read this before reading What Doesn't Kill Us by Scott Carney. Wim's book gives a little science, the basis for his breathing technique, and some waxing poetic on the powers of the mind. Carney's book gives more science on breathing and cold exposure along with introducing us to people who have implemented Wim's methods to achieve some pretty amazing stuff. I'd suggest reading both if the topic interests you!

There's enough value I got out of it and it made me really want to try the method but it's repetitive and not the most stylistic writing. Also the view is rather simplistic regarding the state of the scientific consensus. Ready to change my life!

Sometimes it can be quite repetitive, I feel like you only need to read a few pages to get the basic ideas and then get to know the breathing exercises.
