i love love love when memoirs mix information with story and this book did it perfectly!! So close to being 5 stars but some of the jokes were outdated or didn't hit right.. i love a good toxic old man yaoi

I've wanted to hike the AT all of my life and recently I got a chance to actually stand on the trail and it inspired me to research the trail and try to immerse myself in a real experience as much as possible at home.
This book takes you on a journey on the trail with an unlikely pair of men who should prove to anyone that a little stubborn determination goes a long way. The book has humor, adventure and explores bigger issues such as conservation and Parks Department ineptitude.
