This children's book is a speedy read that feels so like being wrapped in a cozy blanket. Little newborn Billy's mother makes him a special toy, and the story follows the duo as they pass their days together. With a kind of cognition and vocabulary that is found only in the extraordinary minds of children (and their toys), this novel is perfect for anyone who needs a few warm fuzzies in their life.

What a sweet book! The dark bits are rather dark. I see it being a great read for the 9-12 year old crowd. I'd love to read it to my little guy when he's old enough. The illustrations are fantastic too.

This was my favorite book when I was 9 and it still is one of my favorite books just due to how heartwarming the story is. It's like toy story but better in my opinion and I just remember loving it so much definitely recommend to kids who are not scared easily! It is definitely worthwhile to read this like a chef's kiss

I was reading it on my phone (I prefer physical) and it was too childish for me (Not saying it was entirely bad, but I’ve outgrown it)

Absolutely beautiful. It's well written, the artwork is gorgeous, and it gives you a "Toy Story"-like feel...only this is a bit creepier. LOVED it!
