Not my favorite type of plot, I'm not really into political thrillers, but Meg Gardiner's writing is excellent as usual, and I'm always happy to go back to these characters

The Liar's Lullaby was interesting, but not my favorite Jo Beckett book. The "Stephanie Plum" moment with the reporter was delightful. I wish Gardiner would include a few more funny scenes in each book, but her mysteries are always interesting.

This is the second Gardiner book I've tried, and I don't know whether the blame lies with the author or the narrator. Fans can't get enough, but I don't find her to be at all exciting, well-plotted, or rewarding.

I really like Meg Gardiner's writing. I think she has created a great character with Jo Beckett. This book is full of political conspiracy and action. Its a great story and I'm looking forward to the next book featuring JB!
This can be a stand alone book, but you really should read the first two in the series to get an understanding of Jo.

A quick thrilling read, plays on fears and prejudices that are prevalent in society today. The twists were a little heavy and hard to handle, but overall the story was excellent.

This wasn't a great book, but the story was fun and I found myself following the plot with interest. Sure there were a fair number of various flaws in the plot, but it was one of those situations where I didn't really care. I actually was interested in where the story was going and what happened to the victim, and if a story interests me then there's not much else that matters. Not a book that made me think, but a pretty fun read all the same.

This was such a thrill ride! I loved figuring out everything along with Jo, and this was such high stakes. I really liked the multiple players in this piece and the deaths in this one were more hard hitting than some of the other characters in Gardiner's other books. A definite read!

Probably a 4.5.

Fast-paced, with surprising twists in an original plot. Jo is a Forensic Psychiatrist who works with the police and other law enforcement in San Francisco.

Read the description the publisher supplies. I see no reason to re-write.
