More like a nonfiction war book — which just isn’t where my interests are, but do think it is an important story to tell. I enjoyed the first part of the book.

This book reads like nonfiction. It's very facts-oriented, not quite enough story to it. But it's accessibly written and very important. I know I have heard a lot more about the Navajo Code Talkers in the time since this book came out than I ever had before it.

A well done historical fiction that gives a good glimpse into the lives of those that were outcast and then needed. The setting is enough that you get a feel of the war but not too much to take away from the real story.

Code Talkers felt more like a non-fiction read. It was interesting…I didn’t love the war scenes…I had a hard time staying engaged during those scenes. I did really enjoy hearing about Ned’s life leading up to him being a code talker.

This book is basically nonfiction with a little bit of fiction. However, it's not too bad for a school book.

This is probably the first book I had ever taken the initiative to read on my own. I remember enjoying it, and it had given me a good enough impression to take up reading independently of school.
