This is probably the first book I had ever taken the initiative to read on my own. I remember enjoying it, and it had given me a good enough impression to take up reading independently of school.

This book was interesting but it was not my kind of book. The Navajos being code talkers was pretty cool. Some war stories I can’t follow. Sometimes after reading a page I would forget what I just read. Like I couldn’t follow this one to well.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the amount of Navajo words. Yes, yes, I know it’s about a Navajo, but the whole first part is in English the all of a sudden it’s like we saw a big shash run across the road chasing after a ma’ji. Overall a very good book.
the only part I don’t like is when the author makes it sound like Georgia boy dies➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️

Switched to a non-fiction book on the same topic. May come back to this later.
Read the first three chapters. Would have continued, but decided to start with a non fiction first.
