I like this book, great story but I'll be honest wasn't that fond of the ending. Through out the book there was this intensity that kept me looking forward to what will happen to the main characters but once I reached the end I just felt as if it let me kinda of disappointed. This is why I give it 4 stars, great story just an ok ending and I would still recommend it to any of my friends.

While this book was very sad, it was almost too short to really make an impact. Had I had a hundred or so more pages to really get attached to the characters or to have their stories more fleshed out, this would have been incredible. As it was, I read it in about 45 minutes and basically just felt like "...Oh. Okay."

This was an interesting read.

I devoured the book in about an hour. It is not a complicated or long book. But I do think it would be great for reluctant boy readers.

The main character, Zach, was very well flushed out, though some of the other characters seemed a bit two dimensional.

A quick read. Zach is caught in the middle of a robbery gone wrong. But his paranoid schizophrenia presents a problem and ultimately a solution.

(Catching up on reviews for books read before blogging/Goodreads days, made from notes made at the time the book was read. Written on 7/27/21.)

This book was awesome. It was so funny and I loved the main character, Zach. I recommend it. Even though it's about schizophrenia, it's a great way to get more understanding about it. Totally worth the read. Plus it's a very short book.

Fascinating and impossible to put down. Zachary is a great protagonist and narrator.

Made me cry. I find it offensive to "like" this book or to have "enjoyed" it, so I'll just state that I read it.

Tense short book told by a schizophrenic boy who happens to be in a coffeeshop when two teens come barrelling in with a gun and take everyone hostage. Terrifying enough situation for anyone, but to Zach, who has trouble telling reality apart from his fantasies and weird inner voices, it's doubly confusing. And the later it gets and he is still stuck inside the shop, the louder those bullying voices in his head will get--and he has no way to get his medicine to calm them. Really really great book.
