Rinse and repeat, I really wish his kids would stop being used as a mechanism for bad guys to get back at him. A few times here and there makes sense but it’s in every single book.

Apparently there's a series about Michael Bennett, but this is the first I have read. Basically it is Alex Cross but Irish with a lot of adopted kids, a nanny, and a old priest grandfather (instead of the Nana character). Apart from that, it was good! I enjoyed the storyline and it was, as all Patterson's books are, a quick, engaging read.

This was a really good story - but it didn't end. It also didn't have an ending which expressed a sequel. So I was left feeling a bit empty.

Not my favorite in the series and I'd forgotten that I'd read it before (at least three years ago). It does have a direct sequel that I need to read soon.

Personally, this isn't the kind of book I look for in this genre. I like the hunt, and to me having the villain identified immediately isn't as entertaining. That said, there is entertainment value here. There are some things that kind of over complicate or add little to the story. Seems like the last two books, it's vacation time. The back and forth travel doesn't add to the story for me. I don't get the value of making every female Bennett comes in contact with for any length of time a love interest. I understand the undercurrent of his relationship with MC, but does it really strengthen the story. She's missing for several days - the only change is the expectation that she was kidnapped. Of course, she gets pulled in at the end, but only marginally. Just doesn't add to the story for me.

One thing though, don't get on his bad side. All of the villains so far have wound up dead - Margarita being the murderess most involved in the plot as an enforcer.

At a loss to describe this book. While I could read 60 pages in a sitting, I found it jumped around and lacked cohesion and credibility. The ending wasn't an ending. Not likely to read another by Patterson & this co-author.

HOLY CRAP! One of the best Patterson books I've read in years, even better than some of the more recent Alex Cross stories.
