I, Michael Bennett by James Patterson, Michael Ledwidge

3.0

Personally, this isn't the kind of book I look for in this genre. I like the hunt, and to me having the villain identified immediately isn't as entertaining. That said, there is entertainment value here. There are some things that kind of over complicate or add little to the story. Seems like the last two books, it's vacation time. The back and forth travel doesn't add to the story for me. I don't get the value of making every female Bennett comes in contact with for any length of time a love interest. I understand the undercurrent of his relationship with MC, but does it really strengthen the story. She's missing for several days - the only change is the expectation that she was kidnapped. Of course, she gets pulled in at the end, but only marginally. Just doesn't add to the story for me.

One thing though, don't get on his bad side. All of the villains so far have wound up dead - Margarita being the murderess most involved in the plot as an enforcer.
