Endorsed is the second book in The Agency series and does not need to be read in order. These are quick reads with characters that know what they want. And I gotta say, I love all the characters.

I'm not always a fan of second chance romances, but since Samantha and Jack had more of a whirlwind quick little affair 8 years ago, this was more of a reconnection. These two had major chemistry from the prologues, but Jack gives up Samantha because he's her brother's agent and it just didn't sit right with him. Although she thought there was more to them than the sex, she was also young and let it go.

Fast forward 8 years and their paths finally cross again. First, I gotta say...8 years and nothing?? Samantha's brother is a NFL player and Jack goes to a lot of his games. Their paths NEVER crossed? That aspect didn't sit right with me, but of course with fiction I disconnect and go with the flow. SO, as this is a second chance and once they reconnect and realize their chemistry is still off the charts, both Samantha and Jack are ALL IN. Buuuuttt, Samantha has to hold a little back because she has a secret at home.

Overall, the spice was great. The connection between the two characters was on point and I loved the fact that both of the characters were very career oriented. A little unbelievable that they never ran into one another before, but c'est la vie. Loved that we got to see the previous couple and the other agents at The Agency. It feels like we are getting a taste for everyone. As I listened to the audio of this one, I have to give major props as it was quite good (much better than the first one). Both female and male narrators were fantastic and I loved the way they captured the characters. And I gotta show some love for the epilogue. Too darn sweet! A nice fast read/listen.

Awww, Marni, you made me tear up again!

Jack’s biggest client. A football star. His baby sister. A 3-day hookup. Ummmm, not a good thing when you’re trying to make your mark in the sports world as a big time agent. So Jack ends it. Continues on in his career. But 8 years later…..he sees Samantha again. And he wants another chance. This time he will even tell her brother he wants to date her. It will all be fine. Until…….secrets are revealed that test their trust. Such a hot, sexy read but such sweetness added in toward the end. Loved this second book in THE AGENCY SERIES. Love these partners who work hard and play hard and their personal lives that turn everything upside down. Highly recommend!

Endorsed by Marni Mann was an okay read for me. It left me feeling ambivalent towards the story, overall.

What I liked:
•The physical intimacy was hot. Jack’s mouth and desire to please a woman was insanely attractive.
•Jack’s reaction to the surprise and his subsequent actions did serious things to my ovaries.
•The characters are likable, and I particularly loved the members from the agency.

What I didn’t like:

•EVERYTHING was predictable. There is not one aspect of this story that surprised me. From the minute I read the verbiage in the email, I knew what was coming.
•the conflict was resolved with too much ease. What should have been a hard road, with maybe some pent anger and residual tension was solved so easily.

Will I still read Marni Mann? Absolutely. I loved Signed. She writes incredibly good sex scenes, and the chemistry is always off the charts. This one was just a miss for me.

OhMyBob!!!

Ok I generally like a good book boyfriend. But Jack is NOT a book boyfriend. I only say this b/c he is not meant for us readers. He is meant for Samantha and only Samantha. I can not imagine him with anyone else.

Why I thought I could start a Marni Mann book at night and not want to binge read is beyond me. I don't think I have ever been able to put one of her books down once I start. I need to finish it. This was no exception. I started at 10:30pm and was up til almost 5am reading. Oyi am I hurting today on about 45 mins of sleep.

Ok back to the story. We meet Jack and Samantha 8 yrs ago. It's a bit hot and heavy and Jack will piss you off.

We jump and man oh man my heart hurt for Samantha. I could feel her angst. But swooning Jack comes in all with swoony words. HARD!!!! How Samantha kept her composure most of the time is beyond me. I would have climbed him like a tree the minute he opened his mouth.

Ok so without spoiling, READING THE DAMN BOOK. I don't get the low rating. It's got everything.

And that epilogue will just leave in you a puddle. At least it did me.

This was a good, quick read. I kind of felt like I got whiplash towards the end reading a few scenes- he went from saying he didn’t think he’d ever forgive her one sentence- to saying he’s falling for her and wants to be with her three sentences later.
Overall- I thought this was cute, I liked seeing how all in he was with her once they reunited.
