I would probably put this more as 3.5 stars. It was more than ok, but not sure if I totally liked it. I technically still had years for the characters to know each other, but not really. And I’m glad the main female wasn’t in her teens this time.
Endorsed is the latest standalone by Marni Mann. It releases on the heals of Signed and is set in the same world with interconnecting characters. It reads well by itself, but I'd recommend Brent and James' story for sure.
Jack Hunt is the leading sports agent in the US. He's got all the top clients, and treats them well. Until he has a thing for his clients sister and he doesn't want it to become public knowledge.
Samantha Cole is the one that got away. After a few days with Jack, she knew she fell hard for him, but per his request she's kept her distance as well as a few secrets.
Endorsed was a fun, quick read. With Marni's signature banter and heat, I enjoyed it thoroughly. There was only one thing I didn't jive with and it's that as much as Jack and Samantha truly loved each other, they didn't verbally express it. That's not something that's common in the romance genre. With that, I have Endorsed 4 stars.

Jack is an agent at The Agency. His specialty is athletes. His first contract was to sign Shawn, to a football team. He found Shawn’s little sister, Lucy, attractive and was fooling around with her.
Lucy found Jack very attractive and as a 19 year at the time she was all about fooling around. After her brother was signed they were celebrating and Jack stated he would walk Lucy to her room to make sure she got there safely. They had a great night together. The next morning he left while she was still sleeping. He wanted more with Lucy, but knew that being with her would jeopardize his career so he chose to walk away.
Lucy reached out to Jack several times via text, voicemails and emails stated she needed to talk with him over the next several weeks. He told her that she needed to stop reaching out to him and she needed to move on. She never reached out again.
Over the next seven years, she rarely went to any of her brother’s football games because she didn’t want to run into Jack. When his team made it to the Super Bowl. She did go to support her brother and she ran into Jack. Jack saw her and all he could think was she was the one that got away from him and he wanted her. To say she was cautious was an understatement. Will she fall for Jack like she did over seven years ago? Or will her secret tear them apart?
I don’t know Marni does it. When I pick up any of her books I can’t put it down. It is like I’m in a zone until I’m finish with the book. When I think I have found a book boyfriend I end up liking the next one better. Jack was made for Lucy.

I love this crew. There were so many moments that tugged at my heart strings. Definitely a must read!
I am literally am obsessed with this series. Jack and Samantha’s story didn’t disappoint! So good. I love their chemistry together. But Hooking up with your client’s sister probably not the best thing to do. But 8 years later they reconnect only she has a secret. What will it be? I highly recommend this book! ❤️
A great sequel to Signed! In that book we had James Rune and Brett Young. James was an up and coming Hollywood star with reputation problems and Brett is the agent who took up her case and helped fix her PR nightmare. Brett is co-owner of The Agency, a company that Brett opened up with his three best friends: Jack, Max and Scarlett.
Well in this book, we have Jack Hunt, the partner that dealt with sports. At the moment the book starts, he had just scored a fifth place draft for Shawn Cole with the Tennessee Titans football team. This was a huge coup for both Shawn and The Agency. Shawn is so talented that he promises to be Jack’s biggest sports star client. Jack was also very much enthusiastic about Shawn’s little sister, nineteen year old Samantha.
After the draft party, Jack and Sam leave for Jack’s hotel room and have a weekend long celebration. There were some very sexy gymnastics, the sex was out of this world for both. But then Jack left and dumped Samantha. She’s his new client’s little sister, his agency is only just starting, and keeping with her could lead to ruin. So he cut off all contact.
Fast forward eight years, and Shawn is finally having his winning season, on the way to a Super Bowl victory. Samantha had evaded assisting to his games for all these years so she wouldn’t have to face Jack. But on this special occasion, there’s just no evading it. When they finally find each other, there’s a sense of time holding still, a feeling of the one who got away, and of a heart that finally found its soulmate again. She felt she shouldn’t fall for his request for dinner date, but couldn’t help it. He felt that now was the time he could claim the woman he really wanted above all others. He was successful, confident, and The Agency was successful far above expectations. He also felt that Shawn would accept their relation now, after so many years of friendship and work together. The problem was, Sam had a secret that would throw a bomb into everyone’s world. She needed to come clean, and then see if there was anything to salvage after the detonation.
As with the previous book, I loved the characters and the writing. The agents were all competitive, hard-working and driven, but they were also very human. They came from nothing and now they were on top of the game, they didn’t permit themselves to forget what it was at the beginning. Samantha was very emotional. She had also worked hard after graduating from college and was now a very successful interior designer. She was actually working for James Rune, except she was using her mother’s maiden name, so no connection to Shawn would be made. When they all meet together, she’s accepted into the girls circle of The Agency as if they were friends for a long time.
The relation between Jack and Sam was super hot and heavy. They were halfway in love eight years ago, and only the circumstances of Jack’s new job kept them apart. Now Jack had to make amends for his douchey behavior of eight years ago, and Samantha had to make amends for the secret she kept all those years. It was very heartfelt and emotional at the end, lots of support from the circle of friends, and a loving and tender epilogue.
