So.. it was a bit better than the first two books. Was it fun to read? No. I tried to finish this book quickly just to get it over with. (no skimming though, I don’t do that regardless of the book) food prose was still enjoyable lol. I’m glad the romance turned out how I wanted although I really would’ve preferred much more of an emphasis on it.

-The snake thing, it finally got me interested. Did it redeem the rest I endured? Not really. This series seemed to be riding entirely off of ‘general faerie vibes’ and I simply needed more substance. Regardless, I’m glad I’ve gotten it out of the way. I finally know what people are talking about. I didn’t like it.. I wish I loved it but sometimes it turns out that way. I found small things to enjoy in the story but it wasn’t enough. 2.5 stars

can I give it 10 points!!

This was a brilliant comeback after the 2nd book.
I love this really and I have become attached to the characters that I really didn't want to finish it!!
wouldn't mind a 4th book.
The plot, characters and their development is magnificent
the series title is really A folk tale like no other.
the ending was very emotional for me.

*Slight revision from my first post because I’ve watched some other people’s reviews and they really articulated how I was feeling aka made me feel not crazy for feeling the way I did.* This book was full of the scheming, angst, romance, and debauchery of the other two. I've missed Jude and Cardan so much, and it was great to be back in the world. There's some serious character development in this novel (but was it actually done in this book or hinted at behind the scenes? Great question). The thing I could've asked for in this book was more. 300 pages? That's it? In that rite, it felt a bit rushed at times and didn’t simmer in things deliciously like they did in the past two books. Anyway, I'm going to miss these characters so much! Happy release day, QON.

by far the best one out of the trilogy. It does not slow down, it doesn’t waver, it doesn’t trail off plot, it’s a befitting ending.
