The Amityville Horror

3.35 AVERAGE

dark mysterious tense fast-paced

I liked this. I wasn’t too keen on the narrator to be honest... it was a bit monotone and would have worked better for me if I’d have read the physical book (this was an audible listen) I
Knew the story from watching the films but it did have some truly creepy moments.
challenging dark tense fast-paced

Even if the story is fake or true, I still enjoyed the book. I've only ever seen the movies and heard the basic story about the Lutz family so I was surprised at all the other spooky stuff that went down that didn't happen in the movies.
dark emotional funny mysterious tense medium-paced

The narration is quite dry and to the point, but I was still feeling the creepiness. I don’t personally believe hauntings are real, but haunted house stories are my favorites and this one gave me that spooky feel

3.5 rounded up to 4.
Whether it’s a true story or a fake story I still enjoyed the story and kept coming back for more.

highkey this book was so average. the most interesting part was honesty the fact that father mancuso was a priest AND a lawyer. goals tbh. i want a day in the life
funny fast-paced

If your critique of this novel is, “NUH UH. THIS DIDNT ACTUALLY HAPPEN,” then you are a no-fun-haver and I don’t need to associate with you.

It’s a spooky story written in an intriguing and suspenseful tone. One of the more entertaining reads I’ve accomplished this year.
