Wow! This is the best so far.

In Casting Off, Juliette comes up from the down deep to take the office of Sheriff. Deputy Marnes struggle with the death of Mayor Jahns and Bernard, the head of IT live up to his status as villain. The events in this installment take place over just a few days. And boy is there a lot happening. I can't really write too much about the book without spoilers so I'll just say I loved it.

This one ends on a cliffhanger that will keep you up in the middle of the night when you know you should close your eyes. It is very well written. He taps into human's natural curiosity, the need for power, and the overwhelming sense of loss. I think everyone will find something to relate to.

This one drew me in even more than Wool 2. Things are coming to a head and I can't believe Howey started the book off the way he did. I stayed up way too late to finish this one and after the last couple lines I can't believe I was able to resist immediately jumping into the next.
Highly Highly Recommended

GREAT!!!

Now that we are familiar with how the silo generally works, we get a bit more plot without having to re-cover the general info on how the silo functions. Juliette is the new sheriff in the silo, and she has a lot to cover. Considering all that has happened recently, it is quite difficult for a new transplant from the down deep. When she finds herself with more questions than answers (and illegal questions at that), I really wanted things to come together without the wrong people finding out. Unfortunately for poor Scottie, the answers didn't come fast enough. The cliffhanger ending is killing me, though, so on to Wool 4!

The story and character of Juliette are great with an ending that leaves you wanting more. The time it took to dive into the next volume was minimal but still a painful wait of minutes!

It keeps getting better and better!

started and finished a book in a day :3

The first Wool is still my favorite as it just resonanted so strongly with me. Howey does an excellent job of expanding his universe, though, and this book was a fantastic setup for the next installment.

Book 3 of Wool.

Fine for what it is, but I was a bit disappointed in it as a volume. From what I'd heard from others, volume 2 was supposedly a bit slow but volume 3 was back on the express train. But this one was still mostly transitory, and just as it gets interesting, it's over. Taken as part of the larger story, it's pretty solid, but it can't stand on its own the way volume 1 could.
