I am obsessed with this series. Monsterslaying, Big Medicine, action, betrayal, a world wrecked by climate change--this novel has it all. I loved Maggie, Kai and their many saavy and unsavory friends and enemies in this tale of what makes us human might just make us monsters, too. Such a needed voice, with so much interesting and engaging immersion in Navajo culture. Everyone needs to read this.
A creeping horror that slowly suffocates and delights you. It will make you rethink summer vacation, especially in a remote location.
A perfect, sad story of missing girls and the people caught in the wake of both tragedies. Told through the narrative of a podcast and third person, it immediately sucks you in for a ride. In a way, it goes too fast and ends too soon...much like the lives of the missing girls.
This newest installment made me want to go back and reexperience the original series, because it gave me the exact same sense of joy and heartbreak as the original did!
