The Best Men by Lauren Blakely, Sarina Bowen

The love was good, the trope was cliche but nice anyway. The book was just very nice and fun, I will kinda remember this book always.

The characters were rich in their presence and everything they did throughout the book and it was a very pleasant, dirty, steamy but still feel good book.

This book just ripped my poor sensitive heart to fucking pieces of muscles.

Well if I'm cursing without a filter then the book is supposed to be a big deal and you know what?! It was a pretty big fucking deal.

I have about 20 annotations and over 65 highlights and all that I say in my annotations are "Fucking fuck" I swear to God, I thought because the book is named The Sunshine Court and that it is about The gold court of the Trojans I thought it would be mild (Tragic at the start and then getting better) but guess what?! It was a complete soul shredding book and my heart took it the hardest.

I re-read the series just to bring back my memories of the characters and that made reading this book even more intense. The triggers, God's above THE TRIGGERS! are so numerous and freaking hurtful but I love these characters to a fault and I will gladly read these books through all the pain and trauma.

I Love Andriel but Jean and Jeremy's pov was a new experience but I', definitely partial to Neil and Andrew no matter what! The previous books showed me what they are and no one gets to decide how they will see them in different pov's no matter of it's Jean-freaking-Moreau.

Jeremy was a literal ray of sunshine but there are problems, I can't wait for the next book because the interview is not yet done. IYKYK

My favorite part was "Say, 'Yes Jeremy'" .... "Yes Jeremy"

Huh I'm still partial and love Andriel more (Andrew, threw himself out of his goal like all of hell was at his heels" IYKYK

On the whole, this book broke me in a very satisfying traumatic way but I'll survive!!

Staying up late till 2pm, with period cramps but still awake bleary eyes and reading is why this book/series is worth it!

Every fuckin second of reading this book is a treat and a slash to the soul. It's written so well that I can visualise each and every scene.

The story, the characters, the family, the circumstances, the life, the love... My my, there is nothing that falls short in this book and I absolutely hate it!!!!

I hate it! IYKYK!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my freak-fckn-heart !!!!!!

Just wanna say that I hate ABSOLUTELY HATE that the series is over!!
I needed two more chapters and a lengthy epilogue πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

So wholesome!!!
I'm shouting in my mind while I'm writing this review so yeah !!!!! Arrrrrghhhhh!!!

Neil and Andrew and my new absolutely fabulous favourite people and goddamn this book is just too gorgeous in itself.
The scope of character growth that has been going on in this final installment has made me almost void of doubts about one of the best book series I've read this year πŸΎπŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹

My fucking heart just hurts so fucking much! I usually don't curse in my reviews but puh-lease! have you all read this book?!

The feel of reading this book was nothing short of what I felt the first time. I raged, teared up and felt too much the whole time just as the last time I read this book and God's above, even though I knew stuff, it still hurt like hell!

Maybe instead of just my heart, my soul took all the hurt and love from this book this time and made me a mess but it is worth it!

Shredded heart πŸ’”
How can a book hurt so much?

Well ... It can
As sharp as Andrew's knives and as strong as Neil's stupidity that helps him survive. This book made me pull my poor hair out.

The tension is seeped into each word of the book, the dark theme doesn't let up even for a second and damn the tension of everything happening just gets to us readers.

This installment was cruel, abusive and outright disastrous but I just couldn't stop reading for even a second. The little snippets of love in here shine so damn bright that it makes me politely push this book in everyone's faces to read it!

Only those with a strong heart though .. for all us dark ones πŸ–€

You know what I love the most πŸ™‚ it's fast paced πŸ₯°
All the details are still there and it still is fast paced and I love that so much about this book.

I'm actually in love with all the broken, beaten and strong characters!

I can't wait to get to the next book.

I'll put up a good review soon.

This was fun and cool.

This nosy grandma Vera trying to solve a murder on her own is so irritatingly nice πŸ˜‚

I loved how the story was written, how the characters were growing throughout the book and mainly I loved the broken English Vera spoke.

A nice quick read.

3rd re-read 2024, I dunno why I like this book so much when the characters just infuriate me until 60% of the book but I love it anyway.

Oh my stuttering heart and chipped nailpolish this book was so wholesome and sweet! I love happy novels

Thank you so much @our_treasure_chest for recommending me this book and damn girl I love you for that!

This book had me clutching my hair until the 30% because damn that uncomfortable but still comfortable trope of friends to lovers getting mixed with fake dating and celebrity MC had me anticipating every chapter.
I love sports romances when they are well written and the humor is good, this one was quite precious. All the good feels with vare minimum angst or none actually but with that underlying urge to shake some sense into the characters will still burn in you while reading this.

I usually do not like different pov's but this alternatively changing pov made the book that much more amazing and damn πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ the author is a genius because the events just flow so well even when the pov changes.
Nathan and Bree, a huge teddy bear and a lithe ballerina who loves food had one lone tear escaping my eye after the whole book was done because the book was so beautiful in a very lovely way.

I'm guessing my book slump is slowly fading away but anyhoo this book is definitely being recommended by me to y'all because it's just so nice and has all those fabulous feels in it.

These are the kind of books that need to be reviewed and seen as quick as possible because this book literally was un-put-downable πŸ˜‚ it's a Monday, I've work, I've to grade papers, I've to prepare for classes tomorrow and I'm lost in this book and I am also writing a review so that will show you that the book is an absolute treat.

Okay I kinda liked it ...

To be honest, it was really really weird. The dystopian setting and the novel had strong 1984 vibes. The premise setting if people being so dull of being no fun, of not being themselves and having lost themselves to the mundane task of surviving.

The books were being burnt! That was the most painful part of this book but this book was really eternally weird. The writing style didn't catch my interest but the content did. The storyline caught my interest but the characters didn't.

Like on the whole the book was really beautiful in it's own way but not really something that I would pick up voluntarily to read.

Oh wow....

This book was goooooood. The storyline was good, the plotline that melded with the characters was so good, the vibe was good.

What won me over completely were the kids! They just took the spotlight and every freaking plot line was so beautifully explained and also dealt with until the end. God's above that was a good book and a little predictable because I've read a few more intense survivor and serial killer books.

But on the whole a great book!
