Thank you to the publisher and author for providing me with a copy of this book for my review. 

This was a sweet short story. I was able to read it in one sitting. I liked that most of the story is framed as the main character, Rosie, reminiscing on the journey to finally getting in a relationship with Alex. I’m a sucker for the friends to lovers trope, and the friendship in this novel was mostly handled well. From work besties to strangers trying to reconnect while in different places in their lives, their bond was truly the driving force of the book.

Unfortunately the miscommunication is quite heavily used throughout the story. I already dislike it as is, so its multiple uses were very annoying to me. I just wanted Rose to stop assuming she knows how everyone else feels. I really wish she had more faith in Alex, but also in herself. 

Overall, I was still rooting for them to get their ‘’happy ever after’’ at the end. It was my first book from this author and I will definitely be reading more of their work.
