In the past, I haven't been as taken with Miss Marple as with Poirot, but I quite enjoyed this one. The mystery was also very good - extremely twisty but wrapped up neatly by the end.

Starts extremely slowly and (the version I read, book one of the four-book edition) cuts off right in the middle of things such that you're going to want to move straight on to Ten Years Later, but d'Artagnan is still a fun protagonist and once the book gets around to focusing on him it's very entertaining.

A quick, easy read. Not a lot to it, but decently entertaining.

This has the vibe of a mystery but without any actual mystery. There's no big revelation or twist. I kept expecting there to be one but there wasn't. At one point I thought maybe Merricat was a ghost but she's not. I got to the end of the book and thought "That's it? Everything was exactly as it seemed?"

Let me save you the time: The big reveal is that
the aliens are here to help us turn into magic space gods.
Answering the question "what if aliens showed up and helped us solve all our problems and live our best lives" with "that would be pretty good, I guess." OK. I guess it would.

This book is ok, I guess, but I don't get the hype. The characters aren't very interesting and not much happens, but it's not a chore to read or anything. It's fine.

I didn't hate this book, but I didn't really like it either. I had hoped it would be better than the first one but it's just more of the same. There's no real mystery and the climax is very weak.

The worst thing about the book though, is the way one character persistently and far-too-frequently calls the protagonist "Steed". It's in every other sentence she speaks.

Did not finish book.
Serialised fiction that the author stopped writing (or at least posting). I was enjoying it, but it's been so long now I'm unlikely to ever go back to it even if he does start posting again.

As far as D&D adventures go, it's fine. I just stopped running D&D.
