I loved A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell so was super excited to read All I Want. In all honesty this could of been a great read, but the last chapter completely ruined it for me. So I recommend you read the book leaving out the final chapter. It was a solid fast paced book. It has a creepy atmosphere and I did enjoy the plot even though it was a little far fetched. I also felt the main character was way too naive for a grown women.
In the book we follow Emma, the main character as she and her husband buy an abandoned victorian mansion in the country. The house has a dark and questionable past. Emma stays at the house as its being renovated and seems to be taking the lead on decisions along with the handy man even though she is pregnant. Her husband only seems to make time for the house and renovations on the weekends, while spending the weeks in the city at their apartment and focusing on the play he is directing. I don't want to go into much more details than that, without giving the whole plot away.

The beginning of the book was a sexy steamy romance but further into the book deeper topics were covered. Some trigger warnings for this one are abusive relationships, infidelity sexual assault.
I think the seriousness and the romancd were perfectly balanced in this one and worked wonderfully for an over all enjoyable story. The story is told from the main character, Naya's perspective, where we get a glimpse of all the insecurities she has in her head but how she comes across as self assured to others. I loved the complexity of the characters and how so many strong friendships are presented. Overall a romance I enjoyed that brought to light some emotional issues woman go through in relationships.

This was such an adorable, humorous, relatable down to earth gay romance novel. The narrater did an excellent job reading the story it was an enjoyable experience to a wonderful book. I really enjoyed watching Raffy and Lucas relationship evolve. I loved the complexity of these characters as they go through anxiety attacks, family Dynamics among other issues and struggles. This book was truly an inspiration as its focus is on reaching for your passion and dreams even if your family doesn't believe in you, but finding the right people to let you shine, love and support you.

Patricia's journey was truly engaging to me because cult like culture has also always been something that really piques my interest.
Reading Little Sister truly brought so many thoughts and emotions as we get a glimpse into her childhood growing up in the devout catholic community outside of Boston. Patricia's honesty in her experience of this time with her faith, family and community is shocking and eye opening. I enjoyed the beautifully written story about overcoming everything you never thought you would. Written as a narrative timeline with short chapters and pictures throughout really added a personal intimate aspect. Patricia really endured some hardships that no child should have to experience and the story is such an inspiring one that she is so courageous to share.

Taking Tori: The True Story of Terri-Lynne McClintic and Michael Rafferty
R.J. Parker, Kelly Banaski, Peter Vronsky
I was a little disappointed in this one. I didn't find it had much information that in didn't already know about the case, being from a town near Woodstock i followed this story closely. I found the only new information was the background on terri-lynnes life growing up. I guess i expected a little more out of this, maybe some interviews or something that i wouldn't be able to find just by googling this case. Perhaps if you aren't familiar with the story it might be a good read. Definitely wasn't worth the money i paid when i could of just done a google search and find way more information about this horrific kidnapping and murder.
Happy Publication day to A Body In The Lakes by Graham Smith
Genre: mystery/thriller
Publication date: march 15th 2019
A Body in the Lakes is the second book in the detective Beth Young series by Graham Smith. It wasn't a stand out book for me. It was much like any other detective book. Beth the main detective gets a case and tries to solve it. I would give the book 2.5🌟 rounding up to a 3🌟review. I found the book to be rather blah until the last 15% of the book when i thought how could this possibly continue but then it took a turn i wasn't expecting that added the first bit of suspense to the book for me
🍀Possible spoilers ahead🍀
A fourth body has been discovered, all 4 are females, all strangled, raped and found naked. Detective Beth Young finds it strange that the one was a much older women who only had a short time left, as she was dying of cancer. Beth takes the clues left by the body and sets out to investigate, her first suspect the mayor. Shortly after a 5th girl is found to be missing. Has the dubed lakeland ripper killer at it again? As Beth delves deeper into the investigation they are able to locate the missing 5th girl and apprehend the "lakeland ripper" which is where i thought oh end of the story. But no there is more Beth being the amazing detective she is discovers that there is another murderer one who framed the mayor. That's why the dying cancer hadn't fit the first murderer's MO. Beth then starts to uncover the mystery behind this and that's where the book got juicy to me. Just unfortunate that it took the book that long to really grab my attention.
I would like to thank @netgalley and @bookouture for a free copy of a body in the Lakes in exchange for an honest review.

"Tallie, she loved you. Your safety was her first priority. "
This novel was brilliantly written. I really was able to feel for Tallie and her journey of trying to not only discover who she was but also her mother and what they had been hiding and running for all these years. I could really feel her heartache as she discovered the life she was wrenched away from and the life she lived instead. Unfortunately it all came too late and much more was lost for her then when she had started her journey. I would be interested to see if we follow Tallie and her journey into another novel.
When Julia died the authorities ruled it an accident. Tallie believed otherwise, they knew the forest and the cliffs too well to accidentally fall to death. Julia had raised Tallie to be strong, smart, wise and able to defend herself through all situations. Tallie believed it was suicide from the packet of information her mother left giving her two options to take this opportunity to start fresh somewhere else or go to Cutler's Ridge to fill in the blanks in her life. Tallie chooses to go to Cutler's Ridge to try to find out who her mom really was. As soon as she arrives she witnesses a plane crash. A well known mother and daughter died in the crash, but why were they coming to Cutler's Ridge. Is this crash connected to Tallie, will Tallie discover who she really Is and what her mother was trying to hide from?

Trigger warning
This was a very heavy intense read that deals with issues in eating disorders, rape, self harm, emotional and physical abuse.
My trigger warning might put you off from reading this review or novel however all these things happened to a young impressionable teenager. I really thought the author did an amazing job bringing to light such tough issues. I was really able to feel such emotion and compassion for the main character as she went through this journey. The book was so raw and realistic it was a heavy intense read, bringing up so many feelings and was very well executed.
" I sobbed at the relief of freedom from no longer being tied to Josh in an official capacity since we were technically now broken up, and partially because of the gripping fear that reminded me I was not, and may never be, truly free of him.
I really want to thank Christine Doré Miller for sending me a copy to review.
I want to remind everyone that they are never alone, that there is always someone or someplace that you can reach out for help.
A raw emotional story; true to the struggles a teenage girl encounters in this day and age. The pain and torture of feeling so helpless, alone, afraid and unwanted when she had so many people trying to be there to support her, such as her friends and parents but she wouldn't let them in, feeling like she deserved this and it's the way a relationship is suspose to be. This book focuses on Andrea and her struggles as she goes through a toxic highschool relationship where she thought she was in love. The boy lied, cheated, berated, manipulates and rapes her. Andrea tries to leave this relationship that she questions what a relationship should be and that maybe she deserves to be treated this way.

If your whole life is a lie who can you trust?
I really enjoyed A Girl Named Anna by lizzy barber it was a fast paced read that i couldn't put down. It was told in multiple points of view and at first I was interested how the two stories would connect, then once I found out the connection I was unable to put it down because I needed to know how the story would pan out. It was well thought out narrative thst came together seamlessly with great character development. I was a little disappointed in the ending, I wish there would of been an epilogue of what occurred after the two stories connected, or maybe another story is in the works to continue on Anna and Rosie's journey.
Anna just turned 18 and lives a pretty sheltered life due to her over bearing Mamma. William her boyfriend and Anna concoct a plan to go to Astroland the theme park Anna's mother won't take her. She's now 18 an adult and nothing bad could happen right? They make it there but Anna has a sense she's been her before but how is that possible? Anna then goes on a journey to discover if her mother is lying to her. Who her mother really is and who excately is Anna?
Rosie is 15 and lives a different kind of sheltered life. Her mother needs to know where she is at all times. Why? Because her sister had been missing for 15 years. Rosie needs to figure out what happened to Emily the day she went missing at Astroland because the trust is running out in a month. Rosie along with the help of her friend Keria go to great lengths to discover the secrets behind the disappearance of Emily.
I would like to thank MIRA HarperCollins for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest Review.
