challenging emotional inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

A very difficult read but stories like Stace Don’s are vital in educating and reforming a system that greatly let her down. I’m incredibly moved by Stace’s ability to reform her tragic start in life into an inspiration for other survivors and a consistent love and adoration of the family she made.

I read this as part of a recommended reading list for my BA course but found it inspiring for personal works too. I often work with multiple sketchbooks to allow for various subjects and techniques including a sketchbook with the intent of journaling. The works of Madeline Fenton and Richard bell were particularly interesting for me.

I’d recommend this for anyone who is studying a course in which sketchbook keeping can be vital or for those who want to better their relationship with such practices.
