4.5 stars.  Big step up from Nightside, which figures since that book was mostly questions and very few answers.  Here, things are beginning to click into place, and I'm getting those Gene Wolfe galaxy-brain moments.  Stoked to keep going.

4.5 stars. SUCH a satisfying conclusion. Man, did this series ever just get better and better for me as it went along. I loved the way this book was written. The way the POV changes around to give you so many different perspectives on the goings on makes it feel so real. Plus, an ending that kept me thinking about it for several days after i had finished it.

I fully intend to do a total reread at some point.

3.0 stars. I thought it was a slightly better read than the first book in the series, although the second half had some pacing issues. Also a lot of 'crying wolf' in terms of chapters ending on cliffhanger moments that never really end up having any consequences when the next chapter for that POV begins. After the first dozen such cases i actually started rolling my eyes at some those moments that were probably intended to be exciting and suspenseful, because i knew the problem would simply resolve itself in two sentences.

Overall it was enjoyable enough to make me pick up the finale.

4.5 stars. Super engaging all the (brief) way through. Left me wanting to immediately pick up the next instalment. Found it humerous, but not in a cheap or cheesy way. Actually lol'd multiple times.

Highly recommend.

3.0 stars. Not as good as the first one, sadly. Not really any funny moments, Harry is even more neckbeardy than before, and I saw the twists coming a mile away. The loup garou was a cool monster though. I did like how there were different kinds of werewolves, too. That was a cool way to differentiate the various wolfy characters enough to keep them all from running together.

Ive heard this book is generally regarded as the worst one in the series, so that bodes well.
