This was such an AMAZING book. The opening premise of a writer who is being pushed to kill off his queer characters quickly turns into a creepy adventure into the difficulties of small town life and the dark sides of the film industry. We watch as a character is truly haunted by homophobia of his upbringing as well as the true haunts that were inspired by his upbringing.
I loved the layers between identity and horror. Physical manifestations of the emotional wounds suffered.
This book solidified Chuck Tingle as an auto-buy author for me!

This is one of the most striking YA novels I’ve ever read. It deals with mental health, addiction, toxic relationships, self-esteem and identity issues. It is a sapphic story and there is also nonbinary rep.
I don’t think I’ve seen alcohol addiction written with such depth in YA without coming across as shock content before. I thought every piece of this story was handled with such complexity and respect.

I liked the individual characters and thought their own stories were all great but I was a little bored with the actual plotline.

I couldn't get into this book as a standard novel but I enjoyed the graphic novel. It would make a great movie.
At the end of the story, I was really hoping there was more so that's a good sign for me. This story strikes hard and delivers on the scares.
