Chemistry: The Chemist by Grey Huffington

The way the prologue was so damn long & boring I almost stopped reading. But GH is one of my favourite romance authors (& a Black indie one!) so I kept going and it mostly redeemed itself.

Not always a fan of the writing style and language and some sentences do not make sense but she is a damn good storyteller.

This is set pre-Malachi which I guess makes sense since it’s going to be a whole new set of books and characters but I was really looking forward to meeting the Chem of Mercer times…

Sweet story with no conflict. Loved Mena treating her dog like a baby. I loved the meet cute and how the relationship played out.

Healing For My Soul (The Henderson Family Saga Book 18) by Monica Walters

I’m a little over this series and didn’t particularly care for these characters but it was nice being back in big city Nome, and the interactions with the Hendersons. Not a fan of Jakari or Yendi, and their relationship didn’t have much substance (especially compared to some of the others). I really hated how he consistently left Yendi in situations where his father called or appeared. I do not care for Avery or more or that storyline so I’m sure that influenced my “eh” rating of this book.
I’m also sooooo sick of Nate being whiny about Jessica and I know his book is next but imma need a break again

This was a sweet little novella about an influencer and a photographer and their chance meeting that turned into a cute courtship & then relationship. I liked the chronic illness rep. I’ve read a lot of books lately where the ex turns out to be a lying adulterer and the pitfalls of social media (especially on believing women) and i think it was handled well in the limited pages.
