Wow, I have never wished more that I played a violin (because my husband plays the cello). Those scenes are 🔥
I hate that Alex/Xander was manipulated by people who he put his trust in to forge his music career. He was so talented. I did kind of understand why he wanted to get away from his name because of his stepfather Nathan but hate how it hurt his mother (who I also felt was manipulated by Nathan).
Gwen is a musical genius! I wish she had stood up to the Pops earlier when it was obvious they were trying to use her promotion to the first chair for publicity purposes. I love the friends she had in her corner, especially her roommate Jacob.
This was swoony, spicy and just so loveable

It's the end 😭 and I'll never be the same!
I simultaneously love and hate this book!
Boy, our people are GOING THROUGH IT in this conclusion. Keris and The Nightbringer are utterly destroying this world. They have built their own huge armies and Laia and The Blood Shrike are trying their best to stop it but they are both haunted by unimaginable does from every side.
If you read this, don't get attached to characters..... They might not make it.
I wanted to throw Elias/Soul Catcher through a wall 🤣. So hot and cold with Laia...I know he has a big job to do and it's not going well but come on!
The ending battle and life after is both heartbreaking and bittersweet. I was holding my jaw closed because I kept getting shocked. Wonderful series!

This was one of the most unique things I've read in a while and I was enthralled through the whole thing. You have to suspend some belief while reading, but it's worth the journey.
We start with 90 yr old Shirlene who died but her soul goes into another's body- Rain who is giving birth. Now Shirlene has to pretend to be Rain and finds out that the father's brother, Can, promised to help raise his niece. The two get close and she tells him the truth.
I loved that they became this little family. It was hard and there are a lot of twists and tests in her new body/world but I appreciate each aspect of what they go through. Even more surprises await you in the book, but I want you to read it and find out yourself.

A beautiful story of a friendship being mended and each of them finding love and an adult summer camp .. How fun!
When Jessie hears this will be the camp's (where she grew up going and is director over now) last summer, she decides to do an 8 week adult camp. She reluctantly hires her ex-friend, Hillary, as an arts & crafts facilitator.
I love these two friends and loved to see their friendship repair and grow even better. I like how they work together to try and keep this camp running and going against the Valentines. I like to see them each find a summer love that turns to more with Conner and Luke. I love all the other side characters, they felt like family to me when the story ended and I hated to let them go
Full of nostalgia for summers as a kid and the fun of a camp and learning about yourself..... I'm not a camper anymore but I would go to this adult camp!

It was exciting to see Jayci leap into fantasy with this book of Korean folklore meta the modern world.
Sunny is a 132 year old nine tailed fox spirit, living her life away from the magical world she came from, as a human. She has had to move cities to keep her eternal youth being found out when an old friend, Ethan, begs her to help him find his brother's murderer. This sets them on a journey back to her world.
I liked the character of Ethan. He is a simple PI until his destiny catches up with him. I'm not a huge fan of insta-love but I forgave it here because they were friends before.... So maybe it's more of a different second chance type of romance.
I hope we get more of Hailey, Jihan, and Jaeseok which are side characters that came in at the end of the book. They are fun people and I just want them around more!

I was so sad in this one as to what Elias has had to become....I need him in the human world!
This one is so dark. The final battle at the end is so bloody (at one point the Blood Shrike, who I really liked in this book, was just covered in enemy blood). Marcus is an evil Emperor and man and the Commandant is just becoming worse. Laia is trying to stop Nightbringer but she's having difficulty having the last piece of the Star (I'm not sure what it was and how the Nightbringer got it to completion).
There was a twist for Laia that I was totally shocked with. I liked how this twist finally stepped up at the end.
I am very excited to read the conclusion to this series!

I'll say it again, don't watch reality shows like this but love reading about them.
Andie and Kit dated in college for a few months until he left one night. Now they both signed onto a show where several couples (through a matchmaking system) get married, stay married for 8 weeks, and then decide if they want to stay together or divorce...and you might have guessed, these two are paired together.
Some may not like this because their relationship is full of mis or non communication because they are both kind of stubborn at letting people in and there's no growth out of that until near the end. I really liked Kit's mom for FINALLY sitting him down with a conversation to knock sense into him.
I honestly thought this was a well done book. I really was rooting for them even through their stubbornnesses.

This is the first I've read of the series and I need to go back and read the other 2... This was so cute!
Oliver is such a sweetheart and I love how this boy fell for Madison. Madison is making her own way outside her family's wealth and I love her for that. Her roommate Ruby is so sneaky at pretending she's not trying to set Oliver and Madison up.
I love that Oliver needed a place that's quiet to work and the club Madison works at provide the perfect place. I love that they became cat parents in the club. They were both so cute with them.
I like this group of people a lot and I'm more a fan of Melanie after one book...I need MORE!

This was a creepy, generations old resentment possession story!
Neely, her boyfriend and her daughter Arial are out for Arial's birthday when he is brutally attacked and dies before their eyes. It's very traumatic so they move to Neely's childhood home.
There the very happy child starts to talk and act in ways she was NOT taught.
It gets so bad that they go to see someone who can talk to spirits and can cleanse the bad out of the girl.
I can see how some could get creeped out so if you get scared easily... You might not want to read at night. I thought it was spooky but it didn't scare me.... But I'm not easily scared 🤷♀️

This book was a definite page turner. It was full of deceit, stalking, obsession, big highs and low lows. Kat and Jacob could have had a very healthy relationship if Kat was more honest....
I felt sorry for the way that Kat was raised (she keeps a lot under wraps in the story and I don't want to give anything away) but all is not as it seems. It was hard to see her get the help she needed when she broke down, get diagnosed with a disorder, start but stop her meds because she thought she was "better without them" and then proceed to make a mess of Jacob's new life..... It's hard to explain. It was "hard to look" but "hard to look away" so to speak.
