This was just not it for me. I struggled with the MMC and how he would just do things and not ask and his inner thoughts at time made me so angry when it came to how he would continue to kiss her even when she said no. It just made me feel icky.

This book will definitely be in my top reads for the year. I finished this book a few days ago and I have not stopped thinking about it and how it made me feel since.
This book touched my soul because I had such a connection to the FMC, Everly. Everly like so many fat bodied people have to deal with the stigmas and society pressures to conform to hide our bodies and dress in either whatever is available in the store (dark, patterned, baggy) clothing options all to make it so our divots, rolls and bodies are hidden or made to be slimmer. But in the course of doing this we start to lose ourselves. Who we are and our confidence in our bodies is also impacted. You can do all of the deconstruction in the world when it comes to internalized fatphobia but this part is something that can be harder to conquer because some are at the mercy of what is at the local stores.
I loved that Jenny tackled this challenging topic in such a kind, beautiful way and with respect. The build to the relationship with Logan was also really great and I just loved this book so much. I cannot wait to have a physical copy in hand!
Thank you to the author and publisher for an e-copy of this book to read and review.

This YA coming of age book with a FMC who has CP and in a wheelchair was so good. I felt such empathy for Effie as she had to navigate the process of going to college and not just getting to decide on the college/ cost but also had to factor in accessibility and what she wanted her college experience to look like. This is such an important book and one that should be a high school core book to read for people to see the world through different eyes.

The pining, family drama and feud and spice was really good! I enjoyed the book. There was almost a little too much spice and I wanted more build to the relationship but it was good!

WOW... I devoured this book because it was just so wild. This book might be satire and horror a bit in the way it looks at the publishing industry, racism, cyber bullying and white privilege but even though this seems far fetched in some aspects it hits on all of the realities of the tools of white supremacy.
I feel like my jaw was open like the entire book at the caucasity of June and her behaviors but like all RF Kuang characters she also tries to show all angels of a character and we sometimes feel for June and gain some understanding of why she is the way she is but for the most part I hated June. She is the embodiment of a white woman and all of our audacity.
And the end... I almost want a part 2.

I love Kai and Isabelle they might be some of my favorite characters she has written.
I hated the 3rd act break up and it frustrated me so much because I just didn’t think it was necessary at all to their storyline.
