As hilarious as one would expect if you know these two. I would recommend the audiobook rather than the physical book if for no other reason than to hear Nick Offerman's giggle. It feels almost like a podcast where they're reminiscing their history together rather than reading text. Well worth it.

While the prose in the book is fantastic, I had issues with the formation of the character of Circe herself. To me it seemed as if she vacillated from the weak, bullied nymph in her father's court to this all powerful witch. Maybe it's just real-life to not always realize your own strengths and power until they've been tested, but it seems as if she was only ever half formed, half a goddess.

Great to listen on audio book. Perdita weeks is a fantastic voice actor.

I just stayed up until 2 am to finish this book. It is equal parts heart warming and heart wrenching. Boyne is a .masterful story teller able to make the reader empathetic to his characters. I loved this book so much; the characters will stay with me for a while.

There were parts of this book I really liked and some that I didn't. Some of the language and style was a bit over-the-top for me and seemed irrelevant. Overall it was a decent read but I'm starting to think, after reading 3 of her books, that I might not be an Alice Hoffman fan enough to read any more.

High school/Adult

Hauntingly beautiful. Morton does a great job of tying everything together at the end to make a neat little package, so that's a plus if you're into that type of closure. It's a very engrossing read, really enjoyed it.

This was a great read. There was a lyricism to the writing that pulled me in from the beginning. The fantastical elements seemed to be put into more of a minor role than I would have expected. At times I would have almost preferred it to be a straight historical fiction rather than including a fantasy bent. Otherwise I loved the imagery and how invested I became in the characters.
