This was a nice surprise. I haven't read a Dean Koontz book in a long time. At first,I was wondering when the actually story would start, and was almost tempted to put it down, but as I kept going, I became more and more intrigued with the lead up to the story and soon the gaps I needed filled and the gaps I didn't even realize were there were soon filled. I found that I enjoyed the story overall and was quite satisfied with the end, even if it take a while to get to the main crux of the plot and figure out what was going on.

I have been disappointed with a lot of Kellerman's titles lately and this was no exception. Although more than halfway through the book, I had to put it down as it wasn't really going anywhere and was boring me to death!

As usual, delving into the latest adventures of Pandora and her friends, has been a great enjoyment. From the opening scenes of Iole worrying about her friends having forgotten her special day - her Maiden Day (thirteenth birthday) to Alcie's selfless act to save her friends and further the mission to return all the evils back to the box. I enjoyed watching Iole begin to mature and make more of a place for herself with her friends, stand up for herself and take risks. It was good to see Pandy question the decisions she made in letting her friends join her, even though she acknowledged she wouldn't be able to have gotten as far as she had without them and their strengths to help her. And to see Alcie sacrifice her very life for her friends and the sake of the mission. It took me three days to read this amazing story - I couldn't put it down - and I cannot wait to see where the next adventure take the friends. And I have faith in the fact that Alcie will be around . . . I am sure Hades will right the wrong set on her by Hera very soon!!

Fast paced and exciting as usual! Michael Bennett was willing to put his own neck on the line to save kids he didn't even know - something he is becoming known for. The romance aspect, both with Agent Parker and with Mary Catherine fell short. Kind of like it was just thrown in but had no structure or stronghold to it. Without it, it wouldn't have made much a difference to the story. Looking forward to Michael Bennett's next adventure!!

When I first heard about this book and read what it was about, even reading an excerpt on Amazon.com had me interested. I decided to get it from the library and after waiting over two weeks for it to come back in, I got the email from my library saying it was ready for me. I picked it up, intent on reading it right away. Not even the over thousand pages daunted me. I settled in for a good story. Fifty-eight pages in I was glad I hadn't spent the $35 for it! Fifty-eight pages of the dome appearing and people, animals and vehicles crashing into the dome because no one could see it. A few side stories about the citizens who were going to be stuck together. There was no story. Normally, I would push along until I found the story and continued on. I just couldn't do it. I found my mind wandering often while I was trying to read, not caring what happened to the people of this town or why/how the dome appeared in the first place. I had no choice but return it to the library 24 hours after picking it up.

If you're looking to read this book, I would say check it out from the library. It's no where near worth the cover price.

Didn't finish it. It might have potential to be okay, but I managed to get my hands on another book I really wanted to read, so I put this one down for now. Maybe I'll go back to it.
