An informative read about the history, science and cultural impact of snow. It's more interesting facts than 'story' so wouldn't recommend if you don't really like snow!

This novella slots in before Waking The Witch however unlike some authors, you never feel like you're missing something if you read the main books without the short stories. A quick read about supernatural fight clubs with a little bit of extra around Paige and Lucas's relationship.

I didn't know that the novellas were being released as ebooks so I did get the limited edition book. The quality of binding is top notch though the illustrations are a bit blah. Illustrations are so rare outside of kids books I usually get all excited over them.

Heartbreaking and thought-provoking. A tale of innocence lost to a brutal reality. Although at first it didn't draw me in, the fact that so little was said of the 'donors', curiosity kept me going until I was completely hooked. Not a book to easily forget.

This is a story about bullying and the devastating effect it can have on lives. I really found myself sympathising with the shooter rather than the victims. A very moving read. This was my first Jodi P and has made me want to read others.

I don't think these books are substantial enough to really cover two plot-lines; this time there's something weird going on at Speedy Marts as well as military werewolves needing rehab. Kitty does not actually go to war during this book which would have been interesting. Cormac was also disappointing, I think I keep reading the series for him but I don't like the new version.

Would have been better as 2 books with a bit more fleshing out. Easy read though.

Mo Hayder's books usually scare the life out of me but I think her Jack Caffrey books are starting to mellow, which isn't a bad thing. There's plenty of tension and just enough suspicion. Flea's predicament from Skin isn't forgotten and her story continues in Gone. Instead of leaving me not wanting to switch the lights off, the ending left me oddly content.

I think one of the things that annoyed me most at the start is what makes this book great. The narrator turns 5 at the start of the book and the viewpoint is very much that of a small child. After a while, you start to ignore the poor grammar and the world as told by Jack becomes absorbing. I guessed the reason they were in Room pretty early on but it is a very unique view and very well done. May not be everyone's cup of tea but 5 stars for being different.

A frivolous girlie read, nothing amazing but good for a Sunday afternoon without broadband! One of those ones where you don't really like the main character at the start but she grows on you.

I kept feeling like there was a book prior to this that I hadn't read. I really think there were too many back stories and characters introduced for a first novel in a series. However I did love the characters and I would definitely read more. Just hasn't made me want to read them NOW.

A bit sickly sweet and no depth to the characters. Most believable part was the magically appearing books (I'm sure that happens to me)!
