OK, it has been a while since I read the previous book in the series but I felt like I was missing something as I read. The Harbourns are quite obviously guilty of a lot of crimes prior to the start of the book. I find it hard to believe that they are all still free however I'm not familiar with the Austalian justice system. The judge's prejudices seemed a bit unrealistic to me too, would he really be allowed to act in that manner and get away with it for so long?
I really enjoyed the first 3 books but this isn't up to par.

This book has 2 connected storylines, one set in the past and the other set in the present day. I think the main problem with this is that Mosse tries to give equal page space to both plots. I enjoyed the story set in the past and thought it had just enough mystery to be maybe logically explained but maybe supernatural. A bit predictable in places but still enjoyable.
In the present day, there seemed to be long passages which read like a guide book, either about the places or the history and in one place, far too much explanation about tarot. Whilst some readers might find this interesting, it doens't help the plot flow and I found a lot of Meredith's story a bit pointless and contrived. The present day ending spoiled it a little for me too. I'd have preferred Meredith just discovering her past rather than having an 'adventure'.
Needs pruning!

A really well written young adult book. The story is intimate and sad, as much about dealing with imminent loss of a loved one as it is a teenage supernatural love story. I liked the idea of having the current temperature at the start of each chapter too.
Another easy read in this series. Kitty returns to deal with her old pack and gets involved with a supernatural war. Not particularly original but I'm still enjoying the series.
Definitely a series that doesn't take itself too seriously. Kitty heads off to Vegas, there's a TV show, a wedding, a stage show with big cats and a gun toting conventiongoing on. Very easy to read and a cliff-hanger ending. I am a little disappointed that Cormac hasn't reappeared, I'm waiting for a break-out with baited breath...
This book sees Kitty teaming together with a bunch of TV paranormal investigators (think Most Haunted) to fight a ghostly presence. I found this quite endearing as the characters mostly had no idea what was going on and weren't all know-it-all supernatural powers as happens in so many series of this kind. For that I give it an extra star.
I never thought the antics of a sultana would make me laugh so much! An adorable and amusing read.
I haven't read The Secret Shopper's Revenge and I get the feeling this book is one more enjoyed when you already know the characters. I found Emily a highly unlikeable person and felt a bit like Grazia's story was filler. However I did like the Sandie/Kelly stories that intertwined and it would have worked if the other 2 characters were just 'supporting' that rather than having their own plots.
I'm not usually a fan of novels set in small town America but this one drew me in and I read in one sitting. I think I guessed just enough to want to keep going to have my hunch confirmed, though there were a few red herrings thrown in too.
The typical 'stuck in remote cabin' horror pretence, with the monsters being the victims. Another good easy read in the series and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
