The author asked me to review this and I'm so glad he did! I buddyread this with one of my good friends Sorcha at @haybookreviews over on Instagram and this one was crazy! I thought I had a prediction of what was going on but it turned out to be completely different than I thought!

I love Natasha Ngan's writing and her world building for this novel. I love the whole fantasy system as it's really unique. I also really enjoyed that it was sapphic!

This is my first book from this author but omg the writing and the story was so hauntingly beautiful and I highly recommend this to people who enjoy Pet Semetary by Stephen King.

I finished this last night and I feel like I haven't really gotten my thoughts together but this was just ok to me. I definitely prefered Taylor Adams' first book 'No Exit'
I also finished this last night and I liked it but after reading this authors debut 'The last mrs parish' and that's one of my favorite thrillers this was ok.
I found the writing choppy and weird at some times and i didn't really care for the characters

I definitely got sorta 1D vibes and I loved that
It kinda read like fanfiction so it was definitely easy to read.
I think I'll be buying a physical copy to force my friends to read this that's just how good this was.
