The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
5.0
slightly incoherent but worth every word. I don't know how he does it but Faulkner creates such a beautiful and tragic world out of this seeming mess of prose. At a certain point, it all comes together and you realize that you understand exactly what and who he's talking about.
A wonderful read when it's hot outside.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

This is the moody, drawn out story, and, even though I think it's flawed in places, I still love it.
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

I really enjoyed this book. Flynn's tale is disturbing and interesting and her prose is biting and very unique. I couldn't put it down, almost missed my subway stop several times.
A literary mystery, a real page turner. I wish I could write like her.
