I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone. It's one of those one in a blue moon books that just completely entrances you with wonder and love. The most endearing characters that you absolutely fall in love with and feel like you know. I don't think I've become so attached to characters since reading Harry Potter, there's just something about the beautiful innocence and love of children that makes it so soul crushing to watch them lose their innocence. I cried for hours after reading this, and couldn't even get through the movie. It hurts but it's absolutely incredible. A great new perspective on the holocaust, making it so much more real somehow.
