isabelleverdino's Reviews (369)
I think starting next year I won’t add a star review for manga unless they’re 5 stars.
All I gotta say about this volume, though, is FWOOM

This book hurt my feelings. Like “A Man Called Ove” but it gets sadder with time instead of happier. There’s a small rise upwards at the end but I wanted a longer, more fulfilling resolution.
4.5⭐️
“You were the ant on the counter, heading for sugar. The mouse on the way to cheese. Your time was short and real, and even if you survived, you would know now that there was always a hand, metaphorical or not, waiting above you.” (pg 163)
“Same skill, different origins. Same noun, different verbs. Anyone can love their mirror image; it’s the easiest thing in the world to love what you already know. But how do you love difference as if it’s a part of you?” (pg 264)
