This book reminds me so much of what children's books used to be. It was fun and full of mystery while appealing to both, the child and the adult in me.

I'm in awe of the information gleaned from this book. Whether you think this of yourself as an underdog or not, this is a must read book.

I'd maybe add a quarter of a star for this book. It wasn't a marvelous read, but it served as a padded, fluffy story to cushion the fatigue from my more serious reads . I would love to read a sequel written about Ginnie, the main character, Mallory's younger sister since she was equally as interesting as her sister however, she was regulated to the role of sidekick.

I'd recommend this book for anyone who wants a quick and light read.

I wasn't crazy about the graphics, but I totally appreciated the sentiment behind this humorous take on a bedtime story. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

I gave this book 3.5 stars.

This is exactly the type of story I would have gravitated toward as a teenager. The main character, Gretchen, is a typical self-proclaimed "nobody" artist in a high school full of talented artistic types. At the start of the book, she feels like she could disappear and no one would notice, but thanks to a transformation of sorts, she realizes that everyone suffers from insecurities. This book is reminiscent of Kafka's [b:The Metamorphoses|1715|Metamorphoses|Ovid|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1388216531s/1715.jpg|2870411] however, the characters in this book never come off as feeling pretentious or unrealistic.

I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a palette cleanser after reading a hard novel or emotional read. Gretchen's observations of the opposite sex are sure to make you laugh out loud.
