The author skirts around a true miscommunication trope with skill and expertise that is almost startling. Both of our main characters have enough baggage to fill a 747 cargo hold. Why did the MMC never have any talk therapy?? Is it cultural? I yelled at this book repeatedly. I was heartbroken over people who do not exist! I am sold by the ending, the last 7 percent of this book made it rate so highly for me. I was just screaming the whole time "OMG OF COURSE YOU CAN LOVE, YOU SHOW IT EVERY DAY". I was so invested in these characters. I'm still recovering from reading this book.

I must be a little jaded toward the whole manic pixie dream girl trope, because I wanted to LOVE this book but, the FMC made me cringe so hard. The author does capture the child-like whimsy of a late diagnosed ADHD fly by the seat of her pants nomad street performer super well, however she made her too much. Too quirky, too (I'm not like other girls) for me to find this character believable. I loled exactly 7 times, chuckled 3 times, and scoffed numerous times while reading this book. I would have dnfed this book at 70 percent, but.i trudged on and the ending did pay off, hence 3.5 stars.

Based purely on vibes this gets 5 stars, the impression left on me by this book will continue for a long time. The trauma and autism rep in this book was spectacular. Emotionally impactful to say the least. I cannot wait to read more of this author's work.

So many words, so so many words. Brando Sando uses 20 words when 5 would be enough to communicate the same idea. Regardless, Mistborn is told in a way that holds your interest enough to continue reading more than 500 pages to get to the payoff. All of my questions were answered and I shed a tear or two. I truly love the characters and I feel like I was there with them throughout the meetings and conversations. I have a sense of both satisfaction and curiosity for more. That, I think is the power of Brando Sando and his storytelling.

I'm left feeling the same as the end of The Poppy War trilogy. It feels final yet unfinished. I love Darrow and Mustang. The conclusion of Cassius and Darrow's relationship is satisfying. I'm not sure I agree with how Mustang handled everything. But at least most.of the big bads are dead.

I knew I was headed for heartbreak within the first 100 pages. This is my 4th Schwab book, and I'm pretty sure I will be reading the entire catalog. The conclusion of this duet of books is devastating 😭

This book almost lost me in the beginning. I don't know if it ever truly found me again. Sean became rather endearing, but Zenny was lackluster. It was fine, the sex scenes seemed almost impossible physically, but it's all make believe anyway, right? This book rides the line of weird. The dichotomy of coming to Jesus vs having so much sex with an almost nun?? 😕
