This book is one of the best I've picked up in a while.
Beautiful world building. The world reminds me of the Avatar (the one with blue people), since there are beautiful views and tropical forests. I imagine the place where Zelie lives looks like the place where the water folk lived in Avatar: The way of water.
Also the animals in this universe are totally adorable!
Also, the characters had great personalities that were also realistic and inspiring! So great character building as well.
The story itself was great, the plot was interesting and I couldn't wait to hear more. The book was very easy to read so the adventure was moving pretty fast (regardless of how big the book is). So I'm hoping I'll get a more detailed sense of the world in the sequels, since i feel like it has so much to offer!

Altogether, it was a great book and I recommend it to people who like fantasy, adventure and strong female characters.

DID NOT FINISH: 53%

I didn't finish the book. The reason was that I didn't feel that the book was giving me anything.
The language was dry and the scenarios were difficult to visualize. I was many times lost, who the main character was speaking to or where she even was.
The plot is realllly slow. It took 200 pages and that could've fitted in 50 pages.
The world building was interesting, I like the idea of the world and I hope the book would have explained it in more detail.
When i had read past 100 pages, I found out some major things about the protagonist. It affected greatly how I imagine the main protagonist and I was not happy they mentioned those facts so far into the book . The things mentioned:
I thought she was a light skinned teenager/young adult, but she is in fact 30!! And also it was near 200 pages when the book wrote that she's dark skinned!
Of course these facts don't make her less of a good character, but the big change in the protagonist twice over broke the character for me.

DID NOT FINISH

Had interesting content, but too much repetition and it didn't teach me too many new things or views.

I didn't like the romance
might try to read again some time, had good potential
informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

Very informative and easy to read. Clear text, but a little lacking in depth. Very useful information and everyone should read this as this book is so short anyways.

The book was a bit random but it was really sweet. The story was flowing at a good pace and i learned to love the characters. The book was long but not boring. I think this book was good but it wasn't my style.

Ehhh.... This was not my book :/ I couldn't relate to to characters. The storyline was boring and i didn't get scared or anxious. Few times it did give chills and had good moments too! I just think this book was too long.

I loved this! Short meaningful stories with beautiful and sad endings. Very creative and touching :)

The story was interesting and I loved the writing style! Ged is such a wonderful character and i totally don't have a crush on him...hehehhe(• ▽ •;)
But yeah! I would definitely recommend reading!

I liked the first book better. I didn't really like the "main character" girl. Book was a bit boring but still enjoyable
