What Walks These Halls by Amy Clarkin

What a great Paranormal horror! I love books that feature a creepy haunted house and add a paranormal investigator element on top of it and you basically have my perfect book. Every single character in this book were so extremely lovable. The plot was easy to follow and full of creepy situations that had me huddled under my blanket wishing I had read this during daylight. I really loved Eabha's story line, I loved watching her grow and stand up for herself and set strong boundaries.

Such a great atmospheric read with LGBTQIA vibes set in Ireland that would be perfect for Halloween!

The narrator did such a fantastic job bringing the characters and the story to life!

There's a lot going on in this book. You kick off the book already in the heart of the story and need to piece together whats happening as you read which made the story a bit hard to follow. I did enjoy the plot, but after the 50-60% mark it started getting rather repetitive. I do think I would have liked it more if it was just a little shorter. It definitely a slasher with more layers to it. The writing was good, the book was very eerie, funny in the right spots, and very gore filled.

overall its a good debut and I'm happy to have read it!

This was so much fun!! I loved how self aware the book was. The footnotes were my favorite (which is impressive cause I usually hate footnotes in books). All the characters were great, the plot was just so entertaining. The audiobook was great! loved the narrator!! A great, fun, silly cozy mystery!

Now for the very very long wait till book #2!

This is another book where I love the concept but I don't like the execution. The magic system was a bit confusing I wish we could have had a bit more information about it. The characters acted WAY younger than 18, it was more like a bunch of 13 year olds. The romance was not very consistent which made it really hard to get attached to the romance. This is very much a slow paced book, it takes a long time for things to move along plot wise since there was a lot of focus on building the scene. I did appreciate that the book ended on a cliff hanger, I just didn't like it.

Another hit from Katherine Center! It's fast paced, witty, sweet as heck with a splash of emotions. You could tell while reading it how much Katherine poured herself into this book, you couldn't help but love the characters and the story telling. 10/10 would recommend especially if you love romcoms!!!

I wish I would have been able to enjoy this more, unfortunately the writing reads more as a middle grade rather than a YA. Cam is not my favorite character to read from I much prefer Blair's POV.

The plot itself felt as though it was lacking, the twist was a bit obvious from about the half way point.

I'm sure people who really loved Missing Clarissa will love this book just as much.

I adored Chelsea Ichaso's previous work so I was so excited to read this book and I'm so happy this was just as good!

So many twists and turns. I loved it being a thriller with romance, since I could have anxiety but also swoon at the same time lol.

overall its a great read! fast paced and easy to follow! Can't wait to see what else Chelsea Ichaso comes out with next.
