This book had me in a CHOKEHOLD from start to finish, I never wanted to put it down! Particularly near the end, the imagery and DRAMA of it all!!! This book does not stray from asking hard questions and bringing up difficult topics like identity, parenting, and the realities for young women in and outside of the US. I particularly loved this from the perspective of a future educator, this book has so many opportunities for discussion and learning with students, and I think that it is written in a way that is accessible to a lot of readers, and I think is good for looking at how verse can be used outside of single, read-alone poems.

I was not expecting a lot out of this graphic novel, but MAN was I wrong! I liked that it's a whole new story, and I PARTICULARLY loved that it really took the theatre part of HSM's plot seriously! TECH CREW REPRESENTATION!!!! YAAAY!!!! As someone that started in theatre wanting to act, then realized that being in tech crew is where I belong, I really liked this! It's definitely worth reading, especially if you're a fan of the series.

Did I know that I was needing to know about professional pillow fighting? No, I didn't, but now I am so glad I have heard of it! I loved seeing multiple plus-sized characters and how the protagonist works through her relationship with her body and her persona. Her struggle and worries felt real! And it was comforting to see her come through it all being super awesome! The references and puns for their stage names made me so happy, and the character designs/styles/outfits were SO COOL I want to be Cinderhella for Halloween!!!

YESSSSS The humor in this graphic novel was spot-on! I loved the names all being cheeses, the art was gorgeous and I loved the character designs. I fell in love with all of the cast in the story, loved it from beginning to end.
