Why don't I see more people absolutely screaming about how good this book it????? IT IS SO GOOD!!! the story concept is so original, and like everything else Samantha Shannon writes, absolutely beautiful.

This was quite good and gave strong Practical Magic vibes! however I don't like that magic was referred to as black and white, white being the good magic and black being bad. that's a stereotype to still be presenting.

there was a point in this book where I told myself I wasn't going to continue the series after I finished this one, but wow after that ending I totally am. I am not very on board with Gabe as a love interest though, but I am interested to see how his character develops.
