A hard book to rate, can't decide between 4.75 or 5 stars. Reading experience wise it's a 4.75, but the story in itself with all the complexity of human nature, love, politics, all that jazz deserves a full score.

Overall the book is pretty fullfilling(?), it did what it set out to do. The story itself is pretty simple id say so there isn't that much substance to ponder on lol.

A very thought provoking book. It really makes you question, is everyone inherently good or bad, is evil caused by external force or internal, is evil ever redeemable, so on and so forth. Also the fact that it is told through the lives of women around him adds a very interesting perspective on how the action of one individual can leads to so many people's despair.

The premise of this book is very interesting and captivating. Had a fun time reading it.
i don't mind the fact that it never got explained in the end, it pulls us into the story more and put us into the character's spot, kept on building up hope just for it to not be the resolve. I think the book did what it intended to do

A beautiful exploration on deaths and grieves.
so glad she didn't end up with that guy but since i had to endure him for so long, the book got a 0.25 deduction

First of all, i came in blind and was definitely not the targeted audience for this book. I would probably enjoy this book way more once i reach my thirties:)) since it's mostly about womanhood. The prose and writing style are quite pleasant and easy to glide through so there are no complaints on that part. However, i wish that this book is at least 100 pages shorter since it can get repetitive over time.

The fact that a children's book has plot thicker and more extreme than contemporary novels
