The Crimson Crown by Heather Walter

Walter seamlessly intertwines the rise of the Malevolent Queen from Snow White with the historical saga of the life of Anne Boleyn.

Crimson Crown is a story of women, witches, coming into your own and learning that you always have your own power even when they call you powerless.

I have always loved the history of the Tudors, especially Anne. Her story has always fascinated me from a very young age, as it did with many others. She is the most well known of Henry the 8th's six wives. What Walter has done with Crimson Crown is something I have never seen any other do before (and she nailed it). Knowing Anne's story and reading this I screamed, squealed, and yes even threw my book at the tid bits she put in about Anne's life that just elevated the novel to a whole new level.

I am eagerly awaiting the conclusion of this phenomenal novel.

For the people who loved tog and Acotar but knew it was missing diverse and queer characters A Broken Blade is absolutely for you. Blair provides us with lush storytelling f all while the plot is parallel to what we did to indigenous people (USA &canada) Keera is a multilayered character that you can’t help but love because of her big heart all the damage she carries with her. I can’t wait to see where this series goes.

Brown does it again, and I can’t get enough of the Wild Robot series.

The latest installment focuses on how human oil mining impact the environment around us, especially the animals and their ecosystem.

Hopefully reading this book educated our younger and older generations about how harmful that impact is through thoughtful and heartwarming story telling.

This is a true heart warming story of  found family, adoptive parents, learning that your first impression of someone isn’t always the right one, and one brave amazing robot. I cried my way through this book and it made me feel like a kid again.

An immersive fae fantasy romance drenched in beautiful lore and politics that keeps you engaged at every turn!

I could not put Faebound down, and this has absolutely become one of my top reads of the year already. El-Arifi really out did herself with this one.

The lore, the disability representation, the romance, THE SISTER RELATIONSHIP! I cannot and will not stop gushing about how fantastic this book is.

Roth masterfully blends myth, modern day Chicago and the magic of old in this enthralling novella.

This books is so different from everything I have seen from Roth to date. I love the polish folklore mixed with modern day Chicago. It is absolutely wonderful and could see her winning awards for this book. And absolutely must read.

THE SAPPHIC TTRPG BOOK I NEED IN MY LIFE! This is the book I wish I had when I was in high school! I would have found TTRPG sooner in life, have had the confidence to be myself, and known it was just ok to be queer.

I relate to Hollis so much. I was the strange girl whose boyfriend wouldn't let them join boys night when they were playing their games. I was that girl who was on the outside for being too nerdy. But now as an adult I am the cool nerdy aunt who shows my nieces and my friends kids that it is ok to love dnd, that it is ok to love video games. And I hope this book finds those kids too, the ones who are anxious, scared to be themselves, the ones who are bullied and they see, that it is ok to be you.

An absolute masterpiece. Blackgoose melds the perfect combination of political intrigue, an in depth view of colonization, inequality and adds in dragons to create this world that is very parallel to ours.

If you weren't uncomfortable while reading this book, you missed the point. To Shape A Dragon's Breath invokes every emotion imaginable while reading.

I loved everything about this book and will be eagerly awaiting the sequel.
