The Cookie Chronicles is one of those books which warm you up from inside like coming home. It was soo interesting and refreshing to read Ben’s narrative about his adventures! I don’t remember last time I had so much fun in my life… the best part about it was the reminiscing about things that we used to do and could do now if we believe that everyday is a last day and hence we should live it to its fullest! I never thought that I would read the book so quickly and be soo hooked up but somehow that was the case!
It’s mainly targeting the younger generation in terms of language, little quirks that it has and overall really friendly storyline. And still it gave out so many life lessons, I was amazed! There’s this whole thing about living your life to its fullest, not engaging in stuff which isn’t ours, not to make assumptions, get our act together and apologize for the things we did wrong, appreciating people who are present in our lives and so much more! It was exceptionally intriguing and heartwarming! The ending was also the most perfect one :'))

Okay, seriously when did this book end? I was reading it all engrossed and boom I see that I was on the last page and I definitely wanted to read more. But, well, I guess all good things come to an end and what we are left with are all good memories. Look at me being all poetic lol.
To talk about this book, I don’t know how to describe it. It was like your standard Middle Grade books – the usual pattern you see in them (I am not going to give away any spoilers, I am determined) but at the same time it was so much more different. Yes, it dealt with loss but it navigated through it very nicely, especially putting forth the message that not always a person is capable of figuring stuff out just like in the case of Veronica and her family. It talked about alcoholism and what effects it has in general to the person and their family. It talked about expressing your emotions even when you feel like there is nothing going your way and you think that everything would just crumble and fall apart. More than that I guess it talked about dealing with those emotions, to accept them and work around them. I personally loved Veronica and Claudia’s friendship and the other friends that we got to see through this book. Libby was a powerful and an important aspect in Veronica’s life and I am so glad she got to meet with her. And Veronica’s parents were really amazing too because at the end of the day they communicated honestly with each other, them accepting their faults and wrongdoings and striving to work towards them.
Even though Life in the balance is a Middle Grade book, I believe everyone can read it to better understand life choices and all. Especially how sometimes you need to be firm in your decision about what YOU want. It was one of the things that made it reading so pleasant. I honestly enjoyed it a lot!

TBH, I really can't decide how much I liked this book. I mean surely at some point it had me so gripped that I couldn't keep it down.
It starts off with story of Bridge. About an accident she had encountered when she was young and then we come to seventh grade following the stories of three best friends: Tab, Bridge and Emily. And then comes Sherm. And the mystery girl who isn't that big of a mystery as you come to the end. It's like when I was reading the chps for the mystery girl, all I could think about was something bad has happened like really bad. And the ending did kept me stunned. I was like - wait, what? Okay. Cool.
But anyway there are really great things said in this book really suited for teenagers. I guess i picked it up and the right age or maybe if I was a bit younger, it wouldn't have made a big difference. The title actually makes sense once you have read it, it is fairly justified (and by saying this I think I writing an answer for my English paper...)
So yes. I really am glad that I read it and I did love it. I am very much tempted to read it again this instance very carefully to see if I missed anything (which to be honest I think I have).

I could give it infinite stars and still I won't be satisfied. It was soooooooo awesome! Packed with lots of mystery, hidden secrets and full action it was the perfect book for me. I could actually feel the fear cradling my heart when something bad was going to happen.. It was portrayed amazingly well. The characters, the plot, the setting and especially the vibes.. All were seriously mesmerising.
Highly recommended!

I am pretty sure now that all the Middle Grade novels out there are purposely built in a way that will make me cry. There’s no other option apart from the inevitability of this whole scheme. And while we are on this topic, can someone explain me HOW IN THE WORLD do all of them somewhere kind of have the same basic structure but pop out so differently and so touching? I will never understand this beauty honestly.
Foreverland was a lot of things – different, touching, adventurous, fun, emotional, scary (in some aspects, yes it was scary) and most of all MAGICAL. They way it ended was also magical… especially the way it ended. Margaret and Jamie were one of a kind, both facing inexplicable changes and troubles in there lives and hence coming to foreverland to spend their time, to have FUN that seems to be missing from their life. There was a hint of mystery laced through the plot because it wasn’t ever explicitly made clear why both of them ran away from their home, their thoughts, feelings and what further they sought from their little runaway adventure (refuge most of all).
The thing that I liked the most about this book was how open-ended it was. The characters somehow never voiced out how they were feeling, it was through their actions that one could understood what was happening to them. And furthermore, it had mental health rep too – ADHD and it wasn’t ever explicitly mentioned but one of the characters did show some symptoms of OCD. Although as it wasn’t directly mentioned anywhere, I cannot draw my conclusion on the subject.
All in all, I really reaallllyyy enjoyed reading this book, and despite the fact that I loved the ending, I did not want to leave the characters and their story behind. This book was very well character driven which I loved with whole my heart ❤ ❤

It was such a cute and sweet read! I loved the character representation and the relationship between the main characters. The book is really diverse, which I absolutely loved - you could see people trying to explore their sexuality and gender identity. Apart from that, the art was really beautiful and the character designs were amazing too! The plot was in a way like slice of life, it wasn't one with major plot happening but rather of self-discovery and forming relationships. Totally loved it!
