Honestly, I really liked the concept and setting of the novel. We see that there’s this system in this particular place where bad decisions, disloyalty, theft, lies, separating oneself from society By doing something ‘wrong’ are condemned. Are labelled FLAWED. The government constructed a guild which is an organisations protecting the society from the flawed. The flawed are branded and the have different rules which are regulated severely. It’s terrifying to even step a little out of line as then you’ll be labeled FLAWED.
So this concept was actually very enticing for me as I couldn’t grasp how can anyone ever be perfect. I mean there is imperfection even in perfection, isn’t there? But still there were people who were labelled Flawed for their mistakes. They weren’t given a second chance.
Hence, the plot and setting really suited me. But when it comes to individual characters, I was disappointed in Celestine and Art. Surprising? I know. Everything was fine with Art except for the fact that there wasn’t any character development of him. But saying that wouldn’t be good considering his presence in the book was only, say, 5 times. That’s really low. But still, I expected more from his end. As for Celestine, I don’t have any personal grudges from her and I really sympathize with her miseries and all that. But dude are you kidding me? I could see a lot of hypocrisy in her character. I wanted more character development from her. That’s it. Anything more and I’ll be writing the whole story down.
For me, the best characters were Celestine’s grandad. Boy, that man was a genius. People should have listened to him more. The character development that I liked the most in this book was of Pia, Celestine’s mom and Juniper i.e. Celestine’s sister. I mean, they were literally on fire. I could actually see a progress over there which was commendable.
That’s it. Though really liked the concept, setting, plot and a few characters, I was a bit dissapointed by the main character. As for writing style, Cecelia Ahern has a lot of description of the persons thoughts, of the scene, of the idea behind the setting. And trust me, that’s really amazing to read. It makes you actually feel things. I could feel everything happening in that book. Literally.

There's a lot to this novella than I can say in words for it portrays exactly the outer as well as inner appearance of a person. It exactly explains us how a man full of greed can be changed if only we are able to persuade him to see the world as it is and as well as how it can be.
I would heartily recommend this novella to anyone who is looking for a light read, and those who want to read a great classic novel.

'sometimes, people can go missing right before your eyes. sometimes, people discover you, even though they have been looking at you for the entire time. sometimes, we lose sight of ourselves when we're not paying enough attention.
we all get lost once in a while, sometimes by choice, sometimes due to forces beyond our control. when we learn what it is our soul needs to learn, the path presents itself. sometimes we see the way out but wander farther and deeper despite ourselves; the fear, the anger, or the sadness preventing us from returning. sometimes we prefer to be lost and wandering; sometimes it's easier. sometimes we find our own way out. but regardless, always we are found.'
This is the best epilogue that a book can offer!! I mean this book is really engaging and beautiful.
I remember I started reading this book some days before the exams an although it took me quite a while to finish it, I am soo glad that I read this book. I found this in my home and I immediately decided to read it because I wanted so badly to read a book written by Cecilia Ahern and when I found this book, I was absolutely ecstatic.
this book so brilliantly portrays lives of people and their desires that I cannot quite fathom how could she write soooooo wellllll.
I love this book and I seriously recommend this book to every reader.
it's soooooooooo lovely 😍😍♥♥♥

I'm going to read this again. Because I guess I wasn't very observant when first reading it.
'As he skipped down the steps and disappeared into the darkness, I held my hand over my cheek, making sure nothing else had been stolen. Other than that kiss. And my rapidly beating heart assured me it was still there.'
This book was like a rollercoaster ride for me. I didn't anticipate in the beginning that I would like it. But oh boy, was I wrong.
Blurb - Sierra wants to go to the Gamescon in Germany badly. But there's a hitch. She needs to convince her colleagues that she'll be able to handle the presentation of their new game. It shouldn't be difficult apart from the fact that she has severe anxiety when it comes to public speaking. So she signs herself up for the Chagrin Competition at a bar and prepares herself to get humiliated for the competition. There she meets two people - one she failed to recognize previously and one who failed to recognize her. The catch is - was Sierra focusing on a meaningless target the whole time, misreading every player's action?

First comes Aida because she was one hell of a character. And the best one if you ask me

Oh I am honestly confused what I feel about this book. I mean it was definitely a strange reading experience for me. And despite everything, I was anticipating where it was all going. The book talks about Mayhem Brayburn, Brayburn a family of maternal descendants where they have supernatural abilities.
There's so much that I want to write but I can't find words for it. I liked the rush I felt, thinking about how despite being broken, you can still live on being okay. I liked how somewhere the character of Mayhem developed. But there were many gaps that I felt needed to be filled. I would have liked to read more about the magical lineage and what the Paranormal Activities were all about. It just felt a little too rushed. that I feel should have elaborated more, it felt as the story was being rushed on. So basically I wished that the novel was stretched a bit more. But I definitely enjoyed the novel and especially the narrative.
The book discusses about Rape, domestic abuse, emotional and physical abuse, suicide, drive use, murder, death of family in past, traumatic childhood experience. The author has explained about this before the novel begins.
I was provided with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
