3.5 stars. This book made me so uncomfortable so obviously that speaks to the talent of the author. I had a hard time putting it down as I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. My main complaint is that the ending is a huge let down... perhaps I didn’t understand it fully, but I honestly thought some pages were missing in my book because it seemed so sudden. I also just found out that this is the author’s debut novel so fantastic job to her!
4.5 stars. Oh man I just love this story, this world and these characters.
Love the story, but same complaint as the last novel, I just wish this were like 100 pages shorter. Took me way too long to get through.
Love love love. Kate Morton is a story wizard, and I just want to live in her mind. I just loved this book.

2.5 stars. It was fine, but I was not a fan of the present tense first person POV.
It’s a cute book, but that’s pretty much all it has going for it. I enjoyed Millie’s chapters but found myself skimming Callie’s.
This is one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time. I absolutely adore this story, these characters and this world. I love the relationships depicted in this book, and the world/story building is fantastic. I cannot recommend this series enough.
