Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

I always love Cassandra Clare's books, and this one was no exception. Even though the world is the same and the same characters appear throughout all her books, she is still able to make every story new & fresh.

This book is so hard to rate. I LOVED the majority - I even cried more than one and I can't remember the last time that happened while reading a book. However, some parts are just so repetitive and far fetched (I mean, why are they all so damn young????) In the end, I'll settle on 4 stars since I just love these characters.

This is now the third series from Cassandra Clare that I've read, and one of my main critiques is her lack of true female friendship. She writes male/male relationships well (Will/Jem) and is a master at female/male relationships (I can't even choose a favourite); I sincerely hope she focuses on a true female parabatai bond sometime soon.

Some funny parts, but I'm over this "cute but stupid" female protagonist that Sophie Kinsella seems to love.

What a great novel. This story was beautiful, and I loved the characters, the world, the magic. I can't wait to read more!

I love the show so I decided to give the book a read. I love 85% of this book but think that if it was about 100 pages shorter, I would definitely give it 5 stars. Oh, Jaime.

I enjoyed this book! The ending was a bit dull, but I really am a fan of Moriarty's writing.

Some good parts in the beginning, but I skimmed through the last half-third of the story. The voice of the main character did not sound like a believable teenage boy. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if it was told through Lena's perspective.
