Cassie Clare does it again! I've loved these books since I first read about Jace & Clary, and this one is no exception. She is able to create an incredible story of love/heartbreak, loyalty/betrayal, family/friendship, all encased in a wonderfully magical world. 100% recommend & I can't wait to read the next one!

More like a 4.5... I loved this book! Beautifully written, such great research went into it, and the author did an amazing job creating a believable world.

This book got me in alllllllll the feels. Having gone through high school with anxiety, I could relate to so much of Aza's struggles. My only criticism is the whole missing father story line as I felt it was a bit awkward.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. Such a fantastic story, and incredibly well written. I absolutely love the relationship between Emma and Julian, perhaps even more than Jace/Clary. Cassandra Clare is a gift.

The story was interesting at times, but way too predictable at others. I got through it in a few hours and was well entertained.

So much of this book reminded me of my high school years... fanfiction, first love, caught up between 2 worlds. I loved the relationships, both familial and romantic, explored in the novel.

I just love this world and Kvothe. I had to really push through the middle of the book, but the beginning & ending were solid enough to still give it 4 stars. Still not a fan of Denna, but what can you do. Can't wait for the next one!
