The first chapter or two were hard to get into and the cast of characters is large and tricky to keep track of at the beginning. But Inspector Garmande wins you over! It felt the same as a cozy mystery show, just in book format.

Such a fun story retelling! Pied piper is not a story you hear often. The main characters were lovable and had good moments. This was really an enjoyable read!
