Decent story. Cowboy falls for plus sized sistah. I love how they played off of each other and how he made it clear that he wasn't a push over. Favorite scene was Sandra coming to the house. That was complete devastation to the nation lol. Oh and the book had hot interracial lovin.
I still can't figure out if I liked this book or not. It was raw...really raw. Some things were hard to read and struck really close to home with Winter's mother and my own. I think I am making the mistake of comparing this to The Coldest Winter Ever and I shouldn't be doing that. Winter and Porshe or two different people so the books will certainly have a different feel. I wish there was more of Porshe and Winter talking, that part was riveting.
I must admit it took me a while to realize Siri was Porshe lol. I kept wondering how in the heck Siri was always with Porshe...yep I can be slow at times. I loved Elisha's character. Their love was powerful. He knew she had some hardcore issues and he took her as she was. That is amazing. I felt like the book didn't really get good until the end. I found myself fighting for months to get halfway through it but it was a decent read. Porshe talked and acted like someone twice her age but when a child has to do things to survive they usually act more grown than their age.
Dear Sister Souljah
Please make a book about the Diamond Needles! I'm dying to know what became of all of them. Also please write a book about Winter as she gets out of prison and adjusts to life outside of the bars.

Ugh...I am mad at the fact that I have to wait for part three! This was an "on the edge of your seat" type book. I'm embarrassed to admit I won an ARC of this and I'm just now finishing it. Poor Kaelyn, it seems like everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. It hurt my heart when Gav ended up with the virus and when Tobias started showing symptoms toward the end of the book I was just completely through. They got all the way their destination only to find out that doctors where no where to be found and hospitals had been ransacked. I hope they make it to Atlanta and find doctors in time to save Gav and Tobias. Oh God, why couldn't Justin have gotten the virus instead of Gav? So not fair. I will be impatiently waiting for the last book in the trilogy. I know it will be a nail biter just like the first two.
This wasn't my favorite. At all.
This book gave me EVERYTHING! Sex, chocolate, comedy, awkward moments and a foul mouthed child. I can't wait to read the second one in the series. So glad I discovered this author.
Wtf...ok Midnite Love. I need you to hurry up and release part 4! I'm addicted to this ratchet story lol.Lots of intense moments and that Peyton is a trip.
Wow...I went in thinking I may hate this book but ended up LOVING it. I believe this is my first Brenda Hampton book so I wasn't familiar with the characters but I was able to follow right along and the flashbacks for each person helped me understand why they were acting the way they were. My favorite character would have to be hands down that damn Jada!!! She was hilarious.I've never read a book that was set on a reality show and I love reality tv. This was a really cool way for Brenda to bring characters of her novels together. I hated that damn Chase and I can't wait to start reading the older novels because that heffa sounds like a handful. Brenda Hampton has just made a new fan. :) I really can't wait for part 2 of Hell House to come out because this one left us hanging just before the first person kicked out of the house was announced. I hope it was Chase or Prince.
I really didn't think I would like this as much as I did. Yeah I judge a book by its cover and thought it would be extra hood (which isn't a bad thing) but it wasn't like that. It was a good story about a woman cheating on her husband and the outcome of it from many different angles. This book was a testament to the saying "What's done in the dark will soon come to light." This was so good I'll probably end up paying for the second and third parts to the trilogy. I was so mad at Grace, why cheat on a perfectly good man? I loved Sonia's character. I kept picturing Rosie Perez especially when Sonia would get mad and start talking a little Spanish. I'm glad this book was free because I probably never would have heard about this author and read this book. Now Lurea C. McFadden has me hooked! I'd love to know what happened to Phil. He seemed like a good dude who got the short end of the stick.
