I actually really enjoyed this audiobook.

I know some people don’t care for the strange timeline, and the book within a book etc., but I liked it. I find stories like this so much fun. I mean, the story was not fun, but trying to figure out what the heck was going on, and who on earth did what to whom, was quite entertaining.

This is definitely not a happy book. Nor is it a book in which you will fall in love with the characters. But it is fascinating to watch what can happen when you put a group of damaged people who don’t get help in close proximity. This book is the epitome of the phrase “hurt people hurt people“.

Trying to figure out who the murderer was practically broke my brain. Every 10 pages I thought I had it figured out… I didn’t. And even when I did, I didn’t actually trust it. And I loved how the author basically made fun of the book, and people who would critique the book, IN the book. I see what you did there. 😂

The audiobook narrator did a great job. She had distinct voices for the different characters and didn’t get on my nerves. Haha. The tone actually almost reminded me of listening to one of my murder podcasts. Definitely recommend.
