I’ve never read a book that has made me so hungry. Or want to drink wine so badly. Or want to live in Provence.

No man will ever be Gilbert but this was a fun beach read. Angsty will they won’t they was super drawn out though and annoyed me.

I haven’t read a book like this in a long time. So fascinating, I loved the setting and learning more about the Spanish Inquisition all while being tied into a fantasy book. Six of Crows can never be topped in terms of characters EVER, but the dynamic in this one was great to read. Made me 🥲

I always love Emily Henry. I think she could make a relationship between two popsicle sticks fun and sexy. However, I do not think this is her best (my any means). Sure, they had chemistry, but all her characters do, and the whole relationship felt a bit rushed. Also the miscommunication trope was that they both have trauma from their parents but was redundant because they had already had 4000 conversations about it. But loved Miles, so 😻. I also loved that female MC was librarian! Ugh dream job tbh.
